Some buildings only work under one kind of sky.

Seen on a grey morning, the building looks tired. Under a clear sky, the pink walls and the blue above suddenly make sense together.

Colour on a facade is never just the paint. It is the paint under a particular light, for most of the year. Architects who work in sunny places choose differently from those who work under clouds, and both are right.
